"Monochrome - Back to Basics"

In keeping with the SS13 monocrome trend, I decided to drag two trusty favourites from the back of my wardrobe! What looks like a skirt, is actually a strappy dress that I treated to a cold weather makeover by wearing under a long sleeved black top.
I'm a big fan of 'dipped back' dresses, as I'm not a big fan of getting my legs out. So this style of dress to me, seems a fair compromise.
The bag. I bought about 2 and a half years ago! It's from New look and I love the monochrome floral print - though the handles are on their last legs :(
Pairing two prints adds edge to your look and can work really well - Give it a go!

I couldn't go without a touch of colour and I HAD to try out my new lipstick too (will tell all about that in another blog!) The orange colour looked awesome - I've been reluctant to try it out but I was really happy with it.
I picked up the rings in Australia @ Diva, they're pretty cool as they can be worn individually and look great stacked up together too!
Another of my charity shop purchases - this gorgeous chunky gold chain - I live in Streatham Hill and it's the most amazing place to be if you love charity shopping like I do - I'd day there's a good 10, if not more and they always have a bunch of cool stuff.

  1. cool look! I just posted on Monohrome last week! Love your take on it!

  2. Thanks Penny, just checked out your post on monochrome and I love how you've put it together - I have a similar pair of leather look pants - love them!

Would love to hear feedback from you all :)

Thank you for viewing my blog!
