I've always been unsure about faux fur. I see many people wearing it amazingly well, but for me it's always been one of those looks I was never quite ready to try.
I recently made the (fairly) long trip back to my mum's house and noticed my younger sister had a faux fur gilet that she never ever wore and was just sitting in the back of her wardrobe, waiting to be taken away to a better place.
That said, it was also a very cold day and the fur seemed warm and alluring for my cold journey home!
I got the fluffy thing home and then decided I actually didn't really want to wear it - haha
Then, a few weeks after taking it home, I needed pop out of the house very quickly and threw it on over my outfit - and was pleasantly surprised when I looked in the mirror and actually liked how it looked!
Similarly to my '50 shades of brown' post, I put the outfit together with a LOT of 'greyey' brown shades which (I think) worked well with the multi-tonal brown fur gilet.
I don't know how much it was as, for me, it was a free pick up from my sisters wardrobe - haha. But it's a New Look piece and their stuff is always very reasonably priced!
The shirt (excuse the crinkles - The iron wasn't quite up to scratch!) is from a firm fav Australian brand called Kenji (you can view some of their stuff HERE on the Myer website). The triangular panel in the shirt is actually sheer which adds an edginess to it that I love and it's oversized which works perfectly with the leather pants as I like whatever top I'm wearing with them to cover my bum - haha!
As per, I added in my staple leather leggings and (relatively) new tan 'Chelsea boot style' wedges.
Slapped on some red lippy for a splash of colour, and there we have it.
