Kissing In Traffic

This is an unusual one for me, I'm so used to posting about my own outfits, it's been a while since I've written anything else.. Though to be fair, lately it's been pretty sporadic writing nonetheless.

But here I am.

I like to consider myself a vintage clothing lover, I really do love the vintage look. I find myself admiring those decked out in full vintage, yet, whenever I try it myself, I feel like my grandma's grandma and definitely don't end up buying whatever it is looking back at me in the changing room mirror.

I envy the girls who can pull off anything, vintage or not, and always without fail look like they just stepped off a runway - but unfortunately not all of us have the body of a Victoria's secret model.

I don't know what it is, maybe you need the look - hair, face, body and everything in between to really be able to pull it off. Whatever it is, I don't have it.

But alas, this is why I LOVE 're-worked', 'upcycled', 'whatever-you-want-to-call-it' vintage. Because it brings that element of modernity to vintage looks, it gives things a modern 'fit', it has the look without making you feel - dare I say it - frumpy.

Introducing my fav re-worked vintage label:
Kissing In Traffic

Kissing in traffic are a relatively new label. Their studio based in Camden houses the entire team, including Jade Moss, director and designer at Kissing In Traffic and  former owner of 'The Runway Showroom' an iconic platform for independent designers based in Camden.

It's all about clashing prints this SS13 and Kissing In Traffic have done the hard work for you, teaming these awesome prints in one cute crop.

Producing vintage inspired pieces using vintage fabrics, Kissing In Traffic create unique and fun designs. The recently refurbed website allows visitors to buy online and also gives links to their social networking sites.

The 'Ice Cream Capris' are perfect for these warmer days. Flash some ankle and team with a simple shirt for a cute, quirky work outfit.

This super cute gingham print top is the 'Lemonade Days' crop top. I love the colour and the print reminds me of picnics on a gorgeous summer's day - a perfect addition to your wardrobe now that the sun has finally decided to make an appearance!

Check out the online lookbook - showcasing the variety of designs and vintage prints that you can choose from.

If you're a fan of vintage looks (or even not so much) you're bound to find something you love on their website. Pick your style, size and print to create your own unique Kissing In Traffic outfit!
