My Wednesday afternoon this week was spent browsing through the new gorgeous new AW13 collections at the Lipsy press day. The PR girls did an amazing job and the venue - a trendy South London bar - looked awesome.
My favourite pieces had to be from the ‘Petroleum’ collection with its blue hues, heavy embellishment and dark, glam grungy influence. The intricate and extensive bead work really made the pieces stand out; giving them a super luxurious, glamorous look – perfect for a night out on the town!
Taking inspiration from Vivienne Westwood, Lipsy’s heritage range featured some sexy, punky pieces – including a gorgeous tartan pinafore dress, channelling the dungaree/pinafore trend that all fashionistas are parading.
For a more sultry look, Lipsy’s ’50 Shades of Lace’ hits the nail on the head. It’s super sexy and offers a new way of wearing lace, adding lace appliqué and some chic all over lace two pieces. Lace contouring also featured heavily, offering a variation on the very flattering ‘panel’ trend. Michelle Keegan wore the perfect example of this trend at the Lipsy VIP awards – Check out the images to see it in action!
Lipsy’s ‘Utopia’ collection uses monochrome, geometric prints and pops of bright colour to translate catwalk trends to perfect club night pieces.
The bold 'love' print dress was a standout piece at the press day - a trend we're seeing across the fashion spectrum. With bold statement prints and pops of super bright colours you're sure to stand out from the crowd!
They're famous for the dresses but Lipsy also do some gorgeous jewellery, accessories and even shoes! They had some of their pieces on show at the press day and I fell in love with this gorgeous green jewelled statement necklace!
My favourite pair of shoes had to be the bang on trend, ankle strap high heels, they had them in both nude and black and I wanted to take them both away with me! I've been searching for the perfect pair for so long and I just love the chain detail on these ones.
Lipsy have recently teamed up with supermarket giant Tesco, to launch their own brand of glasses. They're super trendy and very reasonable at £85 including lenses. You can find them on the Tesco opticians website here - perfect if, like me, you're in desperate need of a new pair of specs but want fashion and affordability - I've got my eyes on the thick framed red pair!
I can't forget to mention how delicious the food looked - and tasted! I couldn't resist a raspberry cupcake and a mini donut (opting for the healthy stuff!), not only did they look uber cute, they were super tasty too - YUM!
Super long post guys but I couldn't help but share all these gorgeous things with you all!
