Okay, so that's not how it goes, I know, but I needed a title and it's the best I could come up with right now - It's been a long day of job applications and multiple cups of tea.
This post is wayyyy overdue, WAY overdue - about 12 weeks have passed. I've been seriously slack. Let's blame the late work nights.
Anyway, back to the task at hand...
I have a not-so-new found love for culottes. These technically are supposed to be just below the knee but due to my lack of leg length they sit somewhat lower on me.
Regardless, I love them. The sit high on the waist and flare out from there which makes them almost as flattering as a A-line midi skirt. They disguise a bigger bottom half and highlight your waist - which, even if your waist isn't tiny, is always flattering.
I kept my look very simple, with the only splash of colour (unusual for me) coming from my chunky bangle and blue toe nails.
I picked the bangle up in Ishka. For those who haven't heard of it, it's a cool, hippy-esque store selling clothing, gifts and homewares. Plus the story of it's beginnings is awesome if you fancy a read (click here)
I bought the long kimono style jacket in H&M for a bargain at $12! Perfect for cooler summer evenings or a beach cover up.
The top was a real steal at Richmond Australian Red Cross store. It was a last season Witchery style that had been donated in bulk - brand new, and less than half the price!
You can't beat a pair of good sunnies and these ones I nabbed from the boyfriend, though he wouldn't let me hold onto them for too long - they're the real deal.
